Ausiello On the Premiere

      Email Post       7/09/2009 05:18:00 PM

Here's what EW's Ausiello has to say on the Season 2 premiere of Fringe.
Question: Do you have any Fringe news? Pretty please, with a cherry on top that hasn't been soaked in high fructose corn syrup? --Tyre
Ausiello: I hear the opening sequence in the season premiere is going to be killer -- and I mean that literally and figuratively.

Question: Any tips about the second season of Fringe? --Lolotte
Ausiello: I can confirm that Charlie (the exiting Kirk Acevedo) does in fact appear in the premiere. I can also confirm that what happens to him will blow your frakkin' mind.

Luke Goss To Guest Star In Season 2's Premiere

      Email Post       7/08/2009 05:17:00 PM

You might remember Luke Goss as the wickedly-cool elf prince in Guillermo Del Toro's underrated Hellboy II: The Golden Army. According to his own website, Goss will guest star in the season 2 premiere, A New Day In The Old Town, as a character named "Lloyd Parr."

And for those of you in Chicago like myself, Goss will be appearing at the Chicago Comic-Con on Saturday, August 8th.

Thanks to FringeBloggers for the catch.

Meghan Markle Joins the Cast of Fringe

      Email Post       6/24/2009 12:24:00 AM

Earlier this summer, we reported on the addition of a new "brash, outspoken, quick-witted, and capable" FBI agent named Amy Jessup (originally Katherine). The Hollywood Reporter confirmed today that the new role will be filled by the beautiful Meghan Markle.

Meghan's best known as the former holder of case number 24 on Deal or No Deal, but she's also had stints on CSI: New York, The War at Home, and the new 90210. She's a self-proclaimed nerd and a big fan of Scrabble.

And as Dennis pointed out, JJ really has a thing for freckles.

Fringe Spoilers: Casting Call 201

      Email Post       6/18/2009 09:39:00 AM

SpoilerTV has a new casting call for Fringe Episode 201 "New Day":
[NURSE] Early 30’s. Olive skin, darker hair, (could be a dark-haired Caucasian). Should be of medium height and weight. This hospital nurse is taking care of a patient after an accident. She appears trustworthy as she chats with the patient in the room, but it's clear that there's something a bit weird about her. Should be able to play an assassin. GUEST STAR ROLE

[REBECCA] Rebecca is a “real-looking” (not glamorous) girl age 18-22 circa 1978. She's stoned beyond belief on some near-lethal concoction Walter was experimenting with back then and speaks while in a sexy/funny/scary stupor. GUEST STAR ROLE / POSSIBLE RECURRING

[LLOYD PARR] In his 30’s to early 50’s, an average guy. We need a strong character actor who can play hyper-competent. Like someone in a John Frankenheimer movie GUEST STAR ROLE

The descriptions are a little bit campy, but anyone think that Lloyd Parr could be the face-changing shapeshifter? It's also interesting to note the symmetrical double letters in the name - LL in the first name, RR in the last name.

FringeTelevision.com EXCLUSIVE:

We have also learned the name for the role of "Kathrine", mentioned in the first casting call of Fringe season 2 has been changed to "Amy Jessup". So far, the role has not been cast, so Sarah Wayne Callies fans can keep hope alive.

According to an inside source who asked not to be named, here are some spoilers on two upcoming episodes in Season 2:

"The first episode has to do with a shapeshifter who continually molds his face, somehow..."

"And another ep is about a mole-man living under a town, pulling people underground and eating them..."
Sounds good to me!

A little bird tells me Peter will be taking a more "central and active" role in the investigations in S2.
